What is Personal Information?
Personal information is information that can be used to identify and/or contact you as an individual. This includes such information as your name, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number, credit card information, etc.
How to update your Personal Information
If you believe that your personal information in our possession is inaccurate or incomplete, please contact us by one of the above methods and provide us with the correct information so that we can update our files.
If you wish to withdraw your permission for us to use your personal information, please contact us by phone at 1-866-952-3816, e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or mail at Box 1300, Jasper, Alberta, T0E 1E0. We will therefore explain the consequences of withdrawing your permission and then implement you request.
Why we collect Personal Information and how we use it
We collect personal information to enable us to provide you with the products and services you want. For example, if you wish to buy a season pass, we need to know what kind of pass to issue based on your age, where to send the application and receipt and pick-up information.
Sometimes we offer products jointly with other organizations, including other ski areas. In these cases, it may be necessary to share information about purchasers of those products with our partners in order to properly administer the products.
We may also combine the information we receive from all of our customers in order to examine ways of improving our products and better meeting you needs. Some of this information may be shared with third parties, but only in aggregate form without identifying individuals.
Also, with your permission, we will occasionally send you newsletters and announcements about events and developments at Marmot Basin to help you plan your winter fun time.
It is not our policy to sell or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent.
How we collect and Protect Personal information
We collect personal information in a variety of ways, but primarily from season pass or discount card applications. If any of the information requested on those forms is not required it will be marked so that you know it is optional.
We are committed to ensuring that your personal information is protected. The information is stored in our offices and is only accessible to employees on a "need-to-know" basis. All of our employees have been trained on our privacy policies and on the importance of protecting the personal information of our guests.
