Alternative Sliding Devices Protocol

Our Protocol

  • Apparatus must have metal edges
  • Apparatus must have some form of restraining device, or apparatus is proven to simply fall over when separated from the rider
  • The rider must have some sort of "ski" attached to their feet in order to ride all lifts – those without are restricted to the Eagle Express, Canadian Rockies Express and Paradise detachable quad chairs only
  • The rider must be able to safely load, ride, and unload chair lifts - must be able to safely transport apparatus on a lift, and fully use the safety bar (in the case of aerial lifts)
  • In case of a manual evacuation from an aerial lift, the rider must be as easily evacuated as any other guest
  • All riders must be able to demonstrate safe and responsible riding etiquette with regards to the Alpine Responsibility Code

  • No Tubing
  • No Sliding
  • No Foot Traffic
