Ski Marmot Basin has continued to work with Parks Canada to complete a draft long range plan for the Marmot Basin Ski Area in Jasper National Park. Long range plans identify proposed ski area development for a period of 15 years and are part of Parks Canada’s tiered approach to ski area planning. The 2014 Long Range Plan (LRP) and associated Detailed Impact Analysis (DIA) will help to address the existing needs of Marmot Basin as well as guide the development of the ski area in the future.
The public review phase of the draft 2014 Long Range Plan runs from June 9th - July 4th. During this period, Ski Marmot Basin has released a Newsletter and Summary LRP & DIA, provided access to the full Long Range Plan, Detailed Impact Analysis and Supplemental Volume and will hold Open Houses in Jasper and Edmonton.
