EXCITING NEWS! After Receiving 35 cm in the Past Week,
Eagle East & the Knob Chair are Officially Open for the 2015/16 Season!
A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to our Mountain Operations, Avalanche and Safety teams for the solid effort in making this possible as well as Mother Nature, who did not disappoint delivering 35cm of new snow in the past week!
Needless to say, the mountain is in impressive shape as we head towards the holiday season and the skiing and snowboarding conditions only continue to improve upon what has been deemed a great start to the season already. When asked how the skiing was after the latest storm cycle rolled through, Colin Borrow, Marmot Basin’s Director of Snow Sports replied, “Two words: It's awesome!” Enough said!
While the Knob Chair is officially open, several runs remain closed until further notice: Charlie's Bowl, Upper Basin, Party Slope and T-Bar Ridge.

Forecasting What's Ahead for 2015/16!
LAST SEASON MARMOT BASIN HAD SOME OF, IF NOT THE VERY BEST SNOW CONDITIONS in all of North America. Early indications of a similar season were looking good and we are now well on our way for a repeat this season!
The high base elevation and location in the northern Rockies gives us an advantage when it comes to getting consistently good snow conditions, even when temperatures are forecast to be warmer than normal, such as is the case during an El Niño year. We don’t get rain at our elevation, we get dry snow, perfect for powder skiing!
