From January 17 – February 1, the Jasper in January Festival will be in full swing and you do not want to miss out!

Enjoy live music from Mid Mountain each weekend. DJ Cue Two and DJ Harmen B are set to play over these weekends - so come get your groove on while shredding around Marmot!

Free to sign up and lots of fun for all the family.
Search around the Mountain for answers to our Scavenger Hunt - then return your completed questionaire before 2pm to be entered into the draw to WIN!

Sunday, January 25th - The Marmot Duel
Get your Friends and Family together for a Duel!
Join in on the fun and excitement as you race down a Dual Slalom course against your friend, family member or someone you met in the ticket line that morning!

Participants can be skiers or snowboarders and the race is open to all levels of abilities. This is a family friendly event, we would love to see kids challenging parents, parents challenging grandparents and every combination in between!

Saturday, January 31st - Avalanche Awareness Days
Learn about Avalanches, Search and Rescue techniques and the work that goes into keeping terrain safe for Skiers and Boarders.

  • 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Avalanche transceiver demo and practice at the Beacon Basin. Top of Basin Run across from the Knob drive.
  • 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Parks Information Talks through-out the day.
  • 1:00 pm Avalanche Dog Demonstration from a Canadian Avalanche Rescue Dog Association (CARDA) team. 
    Meet at the top of the Paradise Chair; discussion about avalanches and avalanche safety gear. Wrapping up with an explosives demonstration and hopefully an avalanche demonstration!
