THANK YOU ULLR! (and our seriously hard-working Marmot Staff) for an amazing opening to the season.
The 2017/18 Marmot Basin season started strong with over a meter of snow falling in October! Marmot Basin opened on November 10th with great conditions around the mountain!
Opening weekend saw lots of big smiles with skiers and snowboarders enjoying fun groomers and powder conditions off piste. Both the upper and lower moutain were open, and five (5) lifts were spinning.
Eagle Ridge Quad Chair opened for the season this past Tuesday, November 14th. The opening of this chair offered eager skiers and riders even more fresh powder and new groomers to enjoy.
November has seen strong snowfall with an AWESOME Powder Day on November 19th/20th! Marmot Basin received 24cm of snow in 24 hours. The fresh powder made for an incredible Monday on the mountain. Fresh tracks, and bluebird skies made for an amazing day of turns (and sore early season legs).
This Mid-November powder day allowed the Marmot Snow Patrol team to open more terrain. Solace, ET Cliffs and Phone Home Gully are now open for the season. Tuesday November 21st saw Dromedary and Spillway also open!
Conditions are awesome across the mountain right now, and we're loving this fantastic start! Lot's still to be excited about; including the opening of more advanced terrain in The Knob, Eagle East & Tres Hombres.
Keep doing your snow dances. Let's keep this momentum up and make sure 2017/18 is the best season Marmot's seen yet!
