Travel & Operating Hours Update

Marmot Access Road Re-Opening May 2nd

Travel & Operating Hours Update

Access Restored May 2, 2026

The Marmot access road will reopen for our final weekend of the season. Beginning Saturday, May 2nd, regular access to Marmot Basin will resume. Single lane traffic will be in effect in the previously closed section, and drivers are asked to please follow all posted signage.

With access fully restored, lifts will operate at regular hours for closing weekend. Lifts will run 9:00am - 4:00pm with the Schoolhouse Chair running until 4:30pm. Mountain services will be open 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Conditions remain fantastic across the entire mountain, with plenty of terrain still open! The weekend forecast looks beautiful, perfect for sending off the season in style. See you out there!

Update - April 4, 2026

TRAVEL UPDATE

Out of an abundance of caution, our partners at Parks Canada have temporarily closed the first 2km stretch of road between Highway 93 and the Marmot Basin Road due to increased mud and debris along the roadway.

Access to Marmot Basin is now via Athabasca Falls and Highway 93A, as outlined on the attached map. This route adds an estimated 30 minutes of travel time between Jasper and the resort.

Parks Canada will continue to monitor conditions and adjust access as needed with the safety of guests and staff as the top priority.

Snow conditions are excellent, making the drive well worth it!

For questions, please contact us at 1-780-852-3816. For the latest updates, visit Parks Canada. We will continue to share updates as new information becomes available.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Beginning Monday, April 13th, our operating hours are changing. Lifts will operate from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm except for the School House Chair which will operate until 4:30 pm.

Lift ticket rates are reduced by 15% when purchased directly at Marmot Basin and are 20% off the full price when purchased online.
