Getting To Marmot Basin

There are plenty of ways to get up to Marmot Basin, including by car, shuttle bus and train. Please see more on getting to the mountain below.

Getting To Marmot Basin

By Car

Driving to Marmot Basin is easy, with the resort located approximately 20 minutes from the town of Jasper.

Driving time from Edmonton to Jasper is approximately 4 hours and from Calgary approximately 4 hours and 45 minutes via the Icefields Parkway.

Marmot Basin has four parking lots: Parking Lot 1, Parking Lot 2, Parking Lot 3 and Parking Lot 4.

Each parking lot offers direct access to the mountain so visitors can ski straight from their car to the chalet.

There is a 15-minute parking bay at the lower chalet to allow for visitors to collect tickets and rentals. If it is your first time skiing, we recommend the driver to drop off their passengers at the lower chalet before proceeding to Parking Lot 1.

Reserved Parking

Premium parking is available in Parking Lot 1 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.

By pre-reserving parking you can guarantee your parking space closest to ski access. Reserved parking is $24.99 per day.
