Adrenaline-fueled skiing and riding!

Marmot Basin offers a variety of terrain for all ability skiers and snowboarders, including plenty of expert runs that are sure to get the adrenaline pumping, making it a great destination for the whole family!

The Marmot Cirque

The Marmot Cirque is the resort's newest expert terrain. High above the tree line, this area features alpine bowls, steep chutes and incredible views, making it a skiing and snowboarding experience that is second to none!

The new Knob Quad Chair, which opened in the 23/24 season, makes this terrain more accessible than ever.

Marmot Basin Cirque Fast Facts

  • Includes terrain below the ridgeline between the Knob Chair and the Eagle Ridge Chair
  • Numerous 125m - 200m fall line runs from 25 degrees to 45 degrees in angle
  • Total slope distance ranging from 250m to 500m
  • Top elevation: 2400m - 2605m
  • Terrain area: 25 hectares/62 acres

Tres Hombres

Boasting 367 vertical metres (1,204 feet) of uninterrupted, untouched and remarkable terrain, Tres Hombres was opened for the first time in 2017, adding to Marmot's ever-growing expert areas.

The large, north-facing and treeless slope is one of the best off-piste advanced slopes in the Canadian Rockies, featuring powder-filled bowls and chutes. The average slope angle is between 32 and 45 degrees and can be accessed from the top of the Paradise Quad Chair.

Those who dare to conquer Tres Hombres can enter through one of five entrance gates, and will exit via a short trail leading back to the base of the Paradise Chair.

  • Runs range from 32 degrees to 45 degrees in angle
  • 367 vertical metres/1,204 feet
  • 5 named runs, ranging from black to double black
  • Terrain area: 18 hectares

Eagle East

Eagle East is some of Marmot's most popular advanced terrain, easily accessible off the Eagle Ridge Quad Chair. With powder filled bowls, steep lines, and advanced glade runs, Eagle East has something for every advanced skier or snowboarder.

All runs conveniently end at the base of the mountain, where riders can refuel with a refreshment, or head back out and explore some more advanced terrain around the mountain.

  • 13 named runs including 12 double black runs
  • Diverse terrain with trees and boulders
  • Closer proximity to the terrain park for riders to practice jumps and tricks on the rails and boxes

Marmot Peak

The top of the hill, Marmot Peak, is now even easier to reach with the new Knob Quad Chair!

Only a short hike from the lift lies an untouched wonderland at the very tip of Marmot, where expert riders can now venture from the top to the bottom of the resort.

Marmot Peak Fast Facts:

  • Peak elevation of 2,612 metres (8570 feet)
  • Two steep black runs, leading down to the adrenaline pumping McCready's Choice and less intense Knob Traverse
  • The Knob Quad Chair has been extended by an additional 331 vertical feet, allowing for easier access to the mountain top
  • Terrain area: TBA
