This past weekend we hosted the 2nd Annual Aloha Cup and had the pleasure of hosting Mariana's Trench. Saturday was an amazing day full of sunshine, smiles and laughs on the race course, and teenage girls screaming with delight at seeing Mariana's Trench playing live at an outdoor concert.

The Aloha Cup is a fun race for all ages skiers and boarders. The course has banked turns, jumps, rollers and palm trees. We had about 130 racers come on out to this event. Some racers were as young as 2 years old. There were loads of great prizes for everyone including a brand new pair of Elan skis to give-a-way.

Mariana's Trench is a young punk/emo-style band from Vancouver. There top single "Fallen" has been at the top of the Much Music charts several weeks in a row. They are very humble down to earth guys with a large following of young teenage girls. They played a live outdoor concert for their fans in the late afternoon while the sun beat down on the crowd.

All in all it was an amazing weekend with loads of family fun and great music. Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend and don't put your ski gear away just yet— we are wide open until May 6th!
