Youth Groups
CHOOSE MARMOT BASIN
We recognize that there are many factors you must consider when choosing a ski area for your group trip. We have carefully considered all that is most important to you as a group organizer and have built our program to best meet your needs. We know that high quality ski lessons, safety, and ease of booking are all essential components of a fun, safe and hassle-free group trip. We also offer value added by providing free rental helmets for all youths, a free lift/lesson package for each chaperon per 10 youth, and two free lift tickets for the group organizer which can be used at any time during the season.
MORE THAN JUST AN INCREDIBLE SKI TRIP –
Marmot Basin, Parks Canada and the Grande Yellowhead Public
School Division have formed a unique partnership to offer
youth groups FREE, professionally delivered educational sessions
right on the mountain. The Marmot Learning Centre
is a high tech classroom located at mid-mountain and is equipped
with video conferencing, a smart board and an LCD projector.
Here youth groups of all ages can take advantage of one to
three hour sessions taught by qualified Parks Canada staff.
We are committed to engaging youth and developing an appreciation
and understanding of their natural environment, Jasper National
Park and outdoor travel. Sessions include, but are not limited
to, Avalanche Awareness, Species at Risk and Emergency Situations.
Other courses are also offered and all are free of charge.
Especially valuable for school teachers, these free sessions
are science and social studies curriculum linked. Only at
Marmot Basin and in Jasper National Park will you find such
a program that combines skiing and snowboarding with a fun,
educational program that will leave the youth in your group
with a very special and memorable experience not found at
any other ski resort.
