NEW for 2011-12
New High Speed Quad Chair and Triple Chair
Marmot Basin is installing two new
ski lifts in the summer of 2011. These new lifts will be fully
operational on opening day for the 2011-12 ski and snowboard
season.
NEW PARADISE HIGH SPEED QUAD CHAIR
The NEW PARADISE HIGH SPEED QUAD will service
the upper area of the mountain. Stretching 4,604 ft (1,403m)
over the Paradise face, this chairlift has a vertical drop
of 1,331 ft (406m) with a ride time of only 4.6 minutes. The
base of the new lift is located in the lower area at the intersection
of “Old Road” and “Roll Out” and the
top terminal is located at the existing location of the Paradise
triple chair.
NEW SCHOOL HOUSE TRIPLE CHAIR
For 2011-12, the Paradise triple chairlift, currently located
in the upper mountain, will be refurbished and relocated in
the lower area of the mountain to replace the School House
T-Bar. This lift will be a tremendous improvement to the learning
area. It services Marmot's best novice terrain and is ideal
for those learning how to ski or snowboard for the first time.
